At the Annual Meeting in Amsterdam, the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery awarded a research grant to the Farjo team for the investigation of a new graft storage solution. Dr Nilofer Farjo is the lead researcher and she is joined by Dr Bessam Farjo, Prof Mike Philpott and Jamie Upton PhD (both of University of London).
They hope to have preliminary data next year. If this solution prove beneficial then it could play a role in the prolonged survival of the hair transplant grafts outside the body in lengthy operations for example.
