Farjo Hair Institute Rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission

We’re absolutely delighted to share some very exciting news: the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has upgraded Farjo Hair Institute’s overall rating from Good to Outstanding following its inspection in July. This is the highest possible rating and we couldn’t be prouder. The upgrade was made possible by the recent inspection — our first in over eight years — making this achievement particularly special for our entire team.

The CQC’s full report has been published on its website, but we wanted to take a moment to celebrate this achievement with our patients, colleagues and wider community. 

What the CQC Found

The inspection, carried out on 30 July, reviewed every aspect of our service at our Manchester clinic. We’re especially pleased that two key categories – Effective and Well-led – were raised from Good to Outstanding, reflecting the dedication and expertise of our entire team.

Other categories – Safe, Responsive, and Caring – were reaffirmed as Good, confirming that our high standards remain consistent across the board.

Here are some of the highlights from the CQC’s findings:

• Our staff were recognised for delivering exemplary, person-centred care, with kindness and compassion at the heart of every interaction. 
• Patients described their experiences as excellent, individual and reassuring, noting that they always felt listened to and valued. 
• Inspectors observed our clinicians taking the time to explain treatments clearly and tailoring options to each person’s unique needs. 
• A doctor is always available after surgery (including out of hours) something that patients told inspectors provided huge reassurance. 
• Leaders demonstrated strong commitment to safety, innovation and continual improvement, including thorough investigation of safety incidents and investment in state-of-the-art equipment. 
• Our environment was found to be clean, organised, and well-maintained. 
• Patients are actively encouraged to give feedback and our team ensures they have the support and information they need. 
• Continuity of care was praised, with the same doctor carrying out both initial consultations and the surgery itself.
