Romanian Plastic Surgeons Seek Farjo

Dr Noela Ionescu, a plastic surgeon from Bucharest, was one of the organisers of the 2nd International Congress of the Romanian Association of Plastic Surgeons in Sinaia, Romania at the end of October, 2006. She is working with Professor Dr Ioan Lascar of Bucharest.

She met Dr Bessam Farjo a few years ago in London while training in cosmetic surgery and was fascinated with his work and the progress of hair transplant surgery. She saw a great opportunity for the education of the plastic surgeons in Romania and invited Dr Farjo to speak at the above congress as a guest of their association. There are apparently over 200 Romanian plastic surgeons and the majority of them were in attendance. Dr Farjo’s presentation was very well received and generated a lot of interest.

It was Dr Farjo’s first visit to Romania and he was impressed with the people and the beauty of the countryside. The Romanian association were excellent hosts and treated their guests to the best in Romanian hospitality and cuisine.​
