14th ISHRS Meeting a Huge Success

The 14th annual conference of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) took place in San Diego, California on October 18-22, 2006. It was attended by the 2ndlargest number of delegates in the ISHRS history and witnessed the largest ever number of new applications for memberships in a single year.

Drs Farjo were in attendance as ever and this time had with them staff representatives, Julie Edwards and Jason Saks. Dr Farjo’s activities actually started 3 days earlier with an invitation-only media training workshop followed by Executive Committee and Board of Governors meetings over the next 2 days.

The conference proper started on the 22nd, and over the next 3 ½ days included intense lectures and discussions on every related subject imaginable from basic science to latest techniques and practical tips. Dr Bessam chaired and moderated the lecture session on cell therapy and biotechnology which covered the latest on this exciting area of research. Drs Farjo also received a research grant from the ISHRS for trialling different methods of donor trichophytic ​
