Farjo hosts the International Trichology Congress 2019

Last weekend, Dr Bessam Farjo co-hosted the annual International Trichology Congress. On 7 to 8 September, some of the world’s leading hair loss specialists gathered for a range of talks, workshops and expert panels, focused on all aspects of trichology and hair biology.

Held at Manchester’s Museum of Science and Industry, the congress aims to bring together the different hair sciences – including hair restoration surgeons, dermatologists, cosmetic chemists, hair biologists and trichologists – to share their knowledge and build connections across the industry.

Dr Farjo hosted the congress alongside trichologist Iain Sallis, co-founder of the ITC. After kicking off the event with a talk about the history of hair loss and hair treatments by Eva Proudman MIT, there was a host of fascinating panel discussions and talks by experts across the field over the weekend, closing with a lecture on scalp micropigmentation.

On the Saturday night, the ITC also hosted its annual gala and Hair Science Awards at The Lowry Hotel, giving guests the chance to let their hair down as they celebrated the nominees and winners of the awards.
