Procedure Overview
George Groves is a British former professional boxer who retired from boxing in 2018. He was the WBA super-middleweight world champion from 2017 to 2018. He also held multiple other super-middleweight titles, including the European, British, and Commonwealth titles between 2010 and 2014. He is currently a regular boxing pundit on TV, and broadcasts the George Groves Boxing Club, one of the UK’s biggest boxing podcasts.
George came to see us back in 2019 and presented with reasonably advanced male pattern hair loss. We decided that the best action was hair transplant surgery using the follicular unit excision harvesting technique. Additionally, he was recommended to use supporting medications including finasteride and minoxidil which has tremendously helped stabilise his hair and bulk up thinning areas in the fringes.
The photos below show the results of two hair transplant procedures with us involving around 3300 grafts (over 7500 hairs). He has since had a third procedure to finalise covering the crown to achieve the full effect of what we wanted over a 3-year period.
His results are very impressive and life-changing and show what can be done when the advanced surgical techniques are combined with artistry and 30 years of experience as well as the appropriate non-surgical treatments maintained. We were thrilled George trusted us with his transformation showcasing the impact that our bespoke treatment plans can have both on a physical and mental wellbeing.
